It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Molly, with some brilliant news to share. She has just returned from a big training and racing block in New Zealand, competing in Treble Cone, Coronet Peak, and Mt Hutt on the Australia New Zealand Cup (ANC) race circuit.

Molly produced a set of race wins and results that have given her a world ranking of 64 in women’s slalom and a world ranking of 5 (U21).

11 August – Treble Cone NZ Junior Championships SL – 1st

17 August – Mt Hutt, New Zealand – ANC SL – 2nd

20 August – Mt Hutt, New Zealand – ANC SL – 3rd

21 August – Mt Hutt, New Zealand – ANC SL 1st

2 September – Coronet Peak, New Zealand – NC SL 2nd

The Australia/NZ Cup race block is important and attracts World Cup athletes, which is why these results have made such a big difference to Molly’s rankings.

It was amazing for Molly to win the slalom yellow bib (overall champion) for this race series, as it will lower her starting bib number to 31 in this season’s Europa Cup races. An earlier start means better track conditions and the chance to compete on a more level playing field.

Molly is excited for the 2026/7 season ahead. She says, “It’s going to be a big one, as my goal is to make my World Cup debut. It’s also a World Ski Championships and Junior World Ski Championships year, so I’d love the opportunity to compete in these pinnacle events.”

A new dynamic for 2026/7 with a new coach, set-up, and training partners

It was also the first training block with a new coach and set-up, training alongside teammate, Australian racer Phoebe Heaydon. “I’m loving our new dynamic; we train hard, bring out the best in one another, and still find time for fun and laughs along the way,” says Molly.  “It’s early days, but I’m excited for this next chapter in my ski racing journey.”

The clock is ticking down to the next training camp at the Snow Valley indoor ski centre in Peer, Belgium, before the European race circuit. It looks to be an exciting season, full of possibilities.

Please keep following Molly’s journey on social media, as your support makes such a difference. You can also follow races throughout the season on FIS Live and view World Cup racing on TNT Sports.

Molly is self-funded, so is incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to compete in New Zealand this year, which is thanks to the generosity of sponsors and fundraisers. Thank you for continuing to support her journey.
